Independent UK based artist and label management company Eighty4 Music has announced the official launch of the company with the unveiling of its new website, along with the first signings to its roster: Australian art-rock 3 piece ADJUSTER, Indie DIY sensations MELLOR, and BBC6 Music favourites HIPPIES VS GHOSTS.
Gavin Harry, founder of Eighty4 Music reveals “We are working with 3 acts right now, all at varying stages of their careers, but all in need of the same base requirements – time, dedication and vision. Our artists, although very different to one another, also complement each other and sit beside one another beautifully on our roster”
“We are firmly grounded in our independent roots and DIY principles, with our focus always on the few and not the many. We offer a creative coalition, with experience and dedication to the art of music management and ensuring our artists and labels needs are always met with a personal and creative touch”
Sam Igoe of Mellor adds “We are absolutely delighted to have signed a management deal with Eighty4 Music who we fully believe will give us the guidance and support we’ve been craving”
Alongside artist management, Eighty4 Music also offer international labels a partnership entirely dedicated to their ambitions as a label in the UK and Europe.
“Our background and experience has always revolved around working with international labels and making sense of their offer in the UK and Europe. In our former life, we worked alongside some of the best in independent music, including SideOneDummy Records, Better Noise music (formerly Eleven Seven Music) and eOne Music”
“Our skillset has been learnt and adapted from some of the most creative minds in the industry today, which places us in a position to cater for our partners and fulfil their ambitions, through honest hard work, existing relationships and an ardent love of what we do”
The first label to be added to Eighty Music’s roster is Swedish independent label Despotz records.
“We are excited to be working alongside Despotz Records on this new venture. Our history with Despotz spans over a decade, with a relationship that continues to grow and develop with each passing year. We have been lucky enough to watch Despotz grow into one of the most respected independent labels in Europe and look forward to being a part of their continued successes”
With the current social and economic situation as it is, we believe that the maintenance of personal relationships through these times is paramount to weathering the storm. And that, is in effect what Eighty4 Music offers.
Not just a partnership, but a creative coalition.
