“Heady, addictive guitar pop, Fabric Bear match their innate live energy with studio precision.”– Clash Magazine
“I dunno what’s in the Irn Bru or Haggis up in Scotland, but it’s making some superstars. This is an ANTHEM!”– Abbie McCarthy (BBC Radio 1 ‘The Indie Show)
Based in Glasgow, The Big Day (formerly Fabric Bear) burst into the Scottish music scene in 2019, quickly rising up to festivals such as Tenement Trail and a sell out show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s within the space of a year. They received a SAMA nomination for “Best Scottish Alternative/Rock Act” at the end of 2019.
Two weeks before the bands first ever UK headline tour, planned for March of 2020, the pandemic hit. Deciding to use his time efficiently, frontman Ryan Hunter decided to lock himself into the studio and focus on writing and progressing the sound. This resulted in a new musical direction and a catalogue of exciting and fresh new songs, many of which will be unleashed in the second half of 2021.
